Writing about life since my last blog would take way too long to type,
so instead I'll just tell you about life "lately".....
Matthew and I got married!
Getting ready for the wedding pretty much sums up life from November to May, in between my classes last semester...but it was all worth it on May 12......
We had a morning ceremony at Westhill Park Baptist church, and then an afternoon Lunch reception at Glen Elm Church of Christ. It was all so much fun! There were so many beautiful faces there that day and I just wanted go out for coffee with all of them!
Some Zambian friends danced us into the reception in "Zam-Style" and then lots of people said some really nice things about us...Harm even sent a sweet video from Hong Kong!

It was a perfect day!
Then we went to the Dominican Republic, and it was gorgeous!
This summer has been really neat because I've had a chance to spend time with people that I haven't in a long time....
It was the first time in years that I've been able to see Melissa on a more regular basis.
When we were teenagers I was literally at her house everyday, but we have had different schedules since moving to Regina and we just haven't had alot of time together. Missy and Makena and I had a summer routine of making supper together once a week and then going for a long walk. Makena loves her walks! She even starts "quacking" when she knows there are little ducks coming up on the stream! Seriously, the cutest thing ever.
Jill wasn't around for the entire summer but in between her travels we made the most of what time we did have together. We shared some chats, cooked some curry, hit up the water slides for a day and had a few sleep overs! She is way too much fun:)
My mom and dad bought a new trailer this summer and became nomads, so we've been lucky enough to meet up with them several times throughout their journeys. They have been away from home all but one weekend this summer...isn't that cool?! It is a gorgeous trailer...not really camping at all, but camping is just SO much easier their way. We've enjoyed drinking coffee, visiting, making campfires and meeting up in Wal-Mart parking lots for random visits. ;)
One of the coolest visits was in Weyburn when my cousins were there too and we got to take them swimming all day! It was great! They are SUCH good kids and we just love hanging out with them....they make us chuckle. :) Later in the summer Soren, Levi, Jensen and Tiara even came to stay at our place with Tim and Darlene and we had a fun weekend playing at the Science Centre, lifting weights, and making crafts. It was really fun to have Tim and Darlene's family as our "house-guests" because we have been theirs several times and they are just a special family to us. We enjoyed our visits with them very much and can't wait until they are here again over thanksgiving!
I even got spend time with Jolene this summer...twice! It was great:) We managed to snag a coffee date when were passing through Saskatoon one weekend and then later her and Curtis came for waffles at our place when they were passing through Regina. Matthew said that her and I are like the "same person" because we just play off each others silliness and tell stories in the same dramatic ways, etc. But it is pretty strange that he would make that comment because Jo and I have only EVER lived in the same town for one year, I was in Grade 5 and she was in Grade 4 (and we were pretty sure that were ACTUALLY MEANT to be the true Baby-Sitters club!)- ever since then we've lived far apart...but I guess we're kindred spirits because we just pick up right where we left off!
The July long weekend saw us heading out to Lloydminster for a marathon weekend! We went to hang out with Alisha, Garrett and Leanne but were able to drive to Edmonton to see Ryan, Nicole, Richard, Trish, Mom and Dad! We went to an Aunt and Uncle's 50th wedding anniversary and then went to West Ed for some sliding! WOOHOO! It was too short but so sweet.
I love reconnecting with friends and family. There is just something so uplifting and reviving about spending time with people who know you. Even when you don't spend 'regular' time together, you just catch-up and enjoy each other's company.
They understand....they care....they laugh.....and it is so comforting.

It is nice to see you back in the blogging world. I thought life as you know it had changed and you had disappeared from the blogging world forever! Well I'm really not any better!
I think of you 2 from time to time and wondering how everything is going for you. Take Care, Crystal
I'm glad you're back on with the blogging! It has been a good spring/summer hasn't it? I too, am thankful for all the good times that I had with you and Matthew. We'll have some more good times in two months when you come to visit me! I can't wait!
Thanks for the call today! It was SO good to talk to you. We'll have to have another phone date in the not too far away future. Miss you friend!
Jilly
